Torque Media was looking for a mobile TV production studio with the classic Airstream look. They contacted PVT to get what they wanted. After settling on a trailer that was in our inventory and already sporting a new heavy duty frame, PVT designers went to work to create the studio from hand drawings provided by Torque. After pouring a tough epoxy floor in the entire trailer, the front was converted for video production. A large desk area gives plenty of room to work. Four 8.5" high equipment racks were angle mounted for handling rack mount video processing equipment. The front wall was designed for mounting a 55 inch multiviewer screen with room underneath for three more smaller computer monitors. Studio monitor speakers will be mounted on either side of the large screen.
A second street side door was added to the trailer in the front giving the studio operator quick access to outside when needed. Dimmable recessed LED lighting cuts down on any glare.
The work area / break room is separated by a door to keep down noise. This area boasts a large desktop with AC outlets and USB plugins - plenty of room for laptops, etc. Several large custom closets were also built in for storage.
Today, in the IMSA (International Motor Sports Assn.) paddock, it is with Justin Bell and Tommy Kendall on The Torque Show set. The Torque Show is going to bring this world in all of its three dimensional richness to fans around the world. It is where everyone will naturally gather to hear their heroes share stories of the big wins, wild moments, heartbreaks, and some of the stuff not fit for television.
