Back to Frame Repair / Replace

This Sovereign's frame was completely rusted out and required replacement. The interior was gutted and shell was cut loose from the frame and removed. This Airstream is destined to become a food truck trailer so a heavy duty frame was called for to support the equipment required for a 'Chef Class' mobile kitchen. A new custom steel frame was designed and fabricated in our metal fab shop by our expert crew. The main frame rails are box steel instead of the normal C channel used in the original Airstream frame. A new tongue and hitch was also fabricated and welded in place. Finally, the new frame was primed and painted.

Heavy duty 6,000lb rated Dexter axles were installed with 12" drums.

Now that it has good bones, the trailer is ready for the next phase of renovation.
